Monarchs head coach Mark Morris fired From Union Leader in New Hampshire The Los Angeles Kings, parent team of the Manchester Monarchs, on Wednesday informed head coach Mark Morris that his contract will not be renewed. Behind the bench for the American Hockey League franchise since 2006, Morris is the longest-tenured and winning-est coach in Monarchs history, with 332 regular-season victories and 23 playoff wins. Comets lose Stuart for weekend, maybe longer By JOHN PITARRESI UTICA – The Utica Comets have another big three-game weekend coming up in their frantic stretch drive for the American Hockey League playoffs. They’ll have to get through it without team captain Colin Stuart.
