AHL SEASON BEGINS
This week on the Power Play Post Show, hosts Bob Howard and Megan Reiff are excited for the return of the American Hockey League as the season starts Friday night with five contests. The two hosts discuss three major trades that affect AHL teams from around the league including our very own, “Three J. Brennan” who was on the New York Islanders but after a pre-season game that Megan saw him in, was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks and sent to the Rockford IceHogs.
Then the two hosts sing the praises of the city of Utica and the Utica Comets as the 2nd year franchise was awarded with the 2015 AHL All Star Classic that will take place on Sunday, January 25th and Monday, January 26th in 2015. The AHL also went back to the East Conference vs the West Conference format that was very popular two years ago.
