AHL PRE-SEASON BEGINS
This week on the Power Play Post Show, Hosts Bob Howard and Megan Reiff bring another exciting broadcast to the fans of the American Hockey League. On this edition of the PPPShow, Bob and Megan talk about the impact of the New York Islanders new ownership details and will this affect the Bridgeport Sound Tigers? Also on the show, the two hosts run down news and notes from around the league including a couple signings from the past week, the first hockey game played at the new PPL Center in Allentown, PA and a change in the Worcester Sharks player philosophy starting in San Jose first.
Bob and Megan then discuss an article coming out of Rochester, NY by Kevin Oklobzija of the Democrat & Chronicle that talks about AHL journey-man and former PPPShow guest, Phil Varone. The discuss revolves around Phil’s journey from the NHL Draft, not being signed by the NHL team that drafted him and getting a real chance now in the Buffalo Sabres organization.
