Sn 9 Ep 24: Mike Kelly, Radko Gudas, Chris Terry, Brett Lebda & David Marshall

This week on the Power Play Post Show, Host Bob Howard talks to 4 players in the American Hockey League and to one radio broadcaster who gives an update on a player who was injured last weekend in a game between the Springfield Falcons and the Adirondack Phantoms.

Bob’s first guest this week comes to us from the Springfield Falcons, radio broadcaster Mike Kelly. Mike first gives the listeners his depiction of the hit and injury of Falcons left-winger Wade Macleod. Wade fell to the ice after a hit from behind by Phantoms D-man Brandon Manning in what seemed to be a normal hockey play, though an illegal play (Manning was penalized 2 minutes for boarding) but resulted in MacLeod having seizures on the ice as everyone watched. Mike provides an update on MacLeod’s condition and thanks all the fans for the well wishes for the young players health. Mike then breaks down the Falcons season up to this point with the Falcons one of the best seasons in franchise history.

Crunch tough guy & D-Man, Radko Gudas

Bob’s second guest on the show this week is Radko Gudas, defenseman for the Syracuse Crunch. Radko talks with Host Bob Howard about last season’s Admiral’s team that won the Calder Cup, set a record setting win streak & breezed through the Calder Cup playoffs. Radko also talked about this season’s Syracuse Crunch, the tight bond all the players have, the loss of teammate Dustin Tokarski and all about the Fear the Beard promotion and You Tube videos that he stars in for the Crunch.

In a segment featuring the Binghamton Senators, Bob went to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Thursday and talked to Brett Lebda, D-man for the B-Sens and forward David Marshall. New comers to the Senators they talked about coming to B-Sens, playing different roles on the team and their goals to help this team and stay near the top of the standings in the American Hockey League.
