Sn 9 Ep 17: Marc Andre Cliche, Billy Gardner, Lindsay Kramer, Brendan Burke

In an explosive first segment of this week’s edition of the Power Play Post Show, Hosts Bob Howard and Jason Wilcox show their passion, displeasure & confusion on the reasoning for the NHL locking out the NHLPA. With the lockout now over, the two hosts breakdown the new agreement before getting pretty heated on the issues of why & when for now a 3rd work stoppage from the NHL since 1994. The two hosts also discuss the American Hockey League standings and how some teams will be effected by the lockout ending with players returning to their NHL squads or being called up for the week long camp.

The Captain of the Manchester Monarchs, Marc Andre Cliche

Bob’s first guest on this week’s edition of the Power Play Post Show is the captain of the Manchester Monarchs, Marc Andre Cliche. Marc discusses his relationship with Head Coach, Mark Morris; the trade that sent him from the New York Rangers to the LA Kings organization; being a leader on the Monarchs team and how this season’s team has performed thus far.

Coming back to the Power Play Post Show from the Chicago Wolves is their TV Color Analyst and good friend to the PPPS is Billy Gardner. Billy talks about the NHL lockout being over; the effect on the Wolves team, how the team has preformed up to this point in the season and what the rest of the season may look like after players either return or don’t return from NHL training camps.

Covering the American Hockey League‘s best team, the Syracuse Crunch for the Post Standard out of Syracuse, New York Lindsay Kramer joined Bob next on the show. Lindsay and Bob talked about how the Crunch and Binghamton Senators have excelled this season in the same division but as heated rivals; about which players will be making the move to Tampa Bay for the upcoming training camp and thoughts on much impact will really be made on the Crunch as the Lightning line-up is pretty solid on the NHL side.

Brendan Burke, Peoria Rivermen Radio Broadcaster: on Twitter – @brendanmburke

Lastly on this week’s edition of the Power Play Post Show, Bob welcomed back to the show the radio play-by-play broadcaster from the Peoria Rivermen, Brendan Burke. Brendan broke down the Rivermen’s season; the scoring woes for the team; the influence of Mike McKenna on this year’s squad and the potential of right-winger Jaden Schwartz & defenseman Ian Cole making the St Louis Blues team this season.

All this and much more on the latest edition of the Power Play Post Show.
