GRIFFINS ADD TWO TO STAFF

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
The Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday announced the hiring of Andrew Stegehuis as assistant equipment manager and Annette Niergarth as corporate sales activation coordinator.

Stegehuis served as a locker room attendant for the Griffins from 2004-11 before spending the 2011-12 season as the equipment manager for the USHL’s Chicago Steel. He has also assisted the Chicago Blackhawks during past prospect camps, training camps and playoff runs, including the team’s 2010 Stanley Cup championship. A native of Grandville, Mich., Stegehuis is currently attending Davenport University to pursue a degree in sports management.

A recent graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in advertising, Niergarth joins the Griffins’ front office staff after spending the 2011-12 season as a corporate sales intern. The Frankenmuth, Mich., native is responsible for managing the Griffins Kids Club and organizing the corporate sales interns, sponsorships and various game day duties.
